March 2020 TBR

Hey guys! I know this post is going up super late, but ya know… life gets in the way sometimes!

Anyways… how has everyone’s weekend been? Everyone enjoy their leap day yesterday? I actually went out with my mom yesterday and went shopping. I ended up buying a few books and some makeup from Ulta. I bought my first Kylie lip kit!! Yay!

Let’s get into the TBR shall we?

All The Bright Places – Jennifer Niven

All the Bright Places

Theodore Finch is fascinated by death, and he constantly thinks of ways he might kill himself. But each time, something good, no matter how small, stops him.

Violet Markey lives for the future, counting the days until graduation, when she can escape her Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister’s recent death.

When Finch and Violet meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school, it’s unclear who saves whom. And when they pair up on a project to discover the “natural wonders” of their state, both Finch and Violet make more important discoveries: It’s only with Violet that Finch can be himself—a weird, funny, live-out-loud guy who’s not such a freak after all. And it’s only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet’s world grows, Finch’s begins to shrink.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch – Kelly Thompson

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Sabrina is a teen witch who’s struggling with balancing the double life of high school and her burgeoning powers. Newly relocated to Greendale with her aunts Hilda and Zelda (also witches), Sabrina is trying to make the best of being the new girl in town which so far includes two intriguing love interests, an instant rivalry, a couple of misfits that could turn into BFFs, and trying to save the high school (and maybe the world) from crazy supernatural events. NBD!

I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter – Erika L. Sanchez

I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter

Perfect Mexican daughters do not go away to college. And they do not move out of their parents’ house after high school graduation. Perfect Mexican daughters never abandon their family.

But Julia is not your perfect Mexican daughter. That was Olga’s role.

Then a tragic accident on the busiest street in Chicago leaves Olga dead and Julia left behind to reassemble the shattered pieces of her family. And no one seems to acknowledge that Julia is broken, too. Instead, her mother seems to channel her grief into pointing out every possible way Julia has failed.

But it’s not long before Julia discovers that Olga might not have been as perfect as everyone thought. With the help of her best friend Lorena, and her first kiss, first love, first everything boyfriend Connor, Julia is determined to find out. Was Olga really what she seemed? Or was there more to her sister’s story? And either way, how can Julia even attempt to live up to a seemingly impossible ideal?

February 2020 TBR

Here it is! The month of love. So what does this mean for a reader like me? Time to read a bunch of romance novels.

I haven’t been in all that much of a reading mood, but last February I was on fire with the whole reading thing, and I hope that this month will kick me back into gear too.

I’ve been super excited to read some romance books this month. Last February I decided to read the Harry Potter series in February, and that kind of took any chance I had of reading romance books, and although I loved reading Harry Potter for the first time, I definitely felt like I was missing out. NOT THIS MONTH! This month will be different.

I quickly realized last month that I had put some romance novels on my January TBR, and since I barely read anything last month, I decided to push all those books to February and even add some more. So let’s get right into the February TBR plan!
